This is a photo of a stunning abandoned church that was consecrated in the early 20th century. At the moment, the church and the rest of the complex is in private hands. There is a project in the making to turn the area into an apartment complex with almost 250 apartments. These plans are causing tension in the area. Another potential project would like to restore the buildings (including a 17th century villa) on the property if possible, and create a civic library. Monumental and valuable trees in the surrounding park would also be saved. Thus far, the exact future is still unknown.

It is the area of Urban Photography. When I started my Urban photography journey, I mostly saw empty, abandoned and decayed buildings. It did not take long before curiosity struck me.
